The Talladega County Citizen Corps Council is working to rejuvenate the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD), and Student Preparedness programs of Talladega County. Volunteers are key to any process.

citizencorps
Citizen Corps offers volunteer opportunities to support local fire, law enforcement, emergency medical services, community public health efforts and to contribute to the four stages of emergency managemant:  preparedness, prevention, repsonse and recovery.  With the added support of citizen volunteers, emergency services providers have more time to fulfill their highly skilled responsibilities and to make our communities safer, stronger and better prepared!

cert  Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.
VOAD  Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) is the forum where organizations and businesses share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle—preparation, response and recovery—to help disaster survivors and their communities
Be_Ready Student Preparedness helps prepare you to help yourself, your family, and you school in the event of a disaster. During an incident, emergency service personnel may not be able to reach everyone right away. By getting trained in Student Preparedness, you will have the skills to help emergency responders, save lives, and protect property.
